Ibn Al-Qayyim said: I heard Shaikh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (May Allaah render his soul pure) say:
((The distinguished one does not see for himself over anyone else any right, nor does he bear witness upon other than himself with regards to his own excellence, for this reason he is not to be criticized, nor is he to be demanded from, and nor is he to be beaten.))
