The Ruling on Delaying the Maghrib Prayer until the Time of Isha
Question:

I and some of my family go to a neighbouring city which is far away - about fifty kilometres from our city - in order to purchase certain necessities, and we return Maghrib time, and sometimes we leave later, because of the crowds and the fact that Maghrib time is short, so we do not arrive until after the Athan of Isha prayer, that is after the time for Maghrib has expired. So is it permissible for us to in this situation - bearing in mind the distance of the city and hardship entailed upon the women - to delay the Maghrib prayer until we reach our city?
Answer:

There is no sin in delaying the Maghrib prayer until you reach your city when the situation is as you describe, in order to alleviate hardship, but if it is possible to pray on the road, it is better.
