The mu'adhin's turning when calling the adhaan
Question:

Is movement of the body permissible during the statement hayya ‘alassalaah (in the adhaan) - or movement of the head alone?
Answer:

It is legislated for the mu’adhin who calls the adhaan without a microphone that he turns to the right and the left during the hayya ala part whilst his feet are firmly fixed because this is established from the action of the mu’adhin of the Messenger of Allaah sal Allaahu alaiyhi wa sallam in his sal Allaahu alaiyhi wa sallam presence – and because this will be most effective in making the person who is far from the masjid hear the call for prayer.

And with Allaah is the tawfeeq. And may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
