He is unsure about his previous ablution, so should he renew it?
|
Question:
A man performed Wudhu once, and one of the people drew his attention to a mark on his foot, and another time, he drew his attention to a similar mark, which forced him to doubt whether he had made ablution properly on previous occasions. He asks about his previous situation, in which he is doubtful about the correctness of his ablution, and also his Ghusl due to al Janabah; should he repeat his prayers, or what should he do?
|
Answer:
The questioner noticing a mark on his foot that the water had not reached once or twice when he made Wudhu does not mean that the ruling for his other ablutions is that they were not correct.
Because fundamentally – if Allah Wills – he would have performed his ablution correctly, and this principle is not invalidated by doubt, and the matter is the same regarding his Ghusl due to al Janabah – fundamentally, it was correct, and he does not have to repeat his previous prayers.
