Listening to Songs after the Prayer

Question:
Sometimes I listen to songs directly after the prayer. For example, I go for the prayer in the car and after the prayer I listen to songs, so is my prayer accepted?

Answer:
As for your prayer then it is valid. However your listening to songs is prohibited, so it is incumbent upon you, O brother, to leave this thing. Rather listen to the Qur’aan or the news such that you may be saved from this sin.
